The Europäisches Übersetzer-Kollegium Nordrhein-Westfalen in Straelen e.V. association is the world's first and largest international centre for professional translators of literature and non-fiction.

People don’t come to Straelen to learn to translate, nor to have something translated, they come to “simply translate” – in ideal surroundings. As every guest at the EÜK arrives with their own commission - a translation assignment from a publishing house - translation commissions can neither be accepted nor arranged.
